In the next few months you will see some changes in the way The Christian Science Publishing Society (CSPS) communicates with you and manages its product and periodical order processing and billing. To most subscribers and customers in the United States these changes will be transparent and will have little, if any, impact on how you pay for and receive your periodicals and products. Larger changes will be experienced by international customers—particularly regarding payment methods.
Beginning October 2008, and continuing over the next year, we will be improving the efficiency and quality of customer communications, order processing, and billing operations for all subscription-based periodicals, books, and products. To accomplish this, we will consolidate customer service and product fulfillment activities under one roof at CDS Global located in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. Incidentally, CDS Global is under new management from our previous contract with them.
All CSPS customers—subscribers, one-time purchasers, and Reading Rooms.
CDS Global is one of the leading companies in the world working with publishers to ship their products (such as newspapers, magazines, or books); to manage their subscriptions, send bills, and keep records; and to communicate with customers. In recent years, CSPS has been doing many of these activities "in house." The selection of CDS Global as the best fit to provide these services today followed a rigorous assessment of several companies.
By using CDS Global for customer service and product fulfillment rather than attempting to perform these functions ourselves, we can provide our members, customers, and Reading Rooms with reliable service at lower cost to CSPS. By taking this step, we can focus more of our efforts on publishing compelling and healing content for our publications.
As noted above, the changes will begin to take effect in October 2008. Please continue to visit this site as there will be periodic updates and new information.
